I agree. I’m disappointed by Firefox 3’s “improved” OS X interface. It’s still not using native controls — it just tries even harder to fake them (and fails even harder).
And I don’t know what they were thinking with the “awesome bar”. It’s confusing at best. So far, it has only hindered me. It’s a shame that so many programmers think that shoving more unnecessary interface elements into something is a “feature”.
My main complaint is the top of my bookmarks bar looks like the top of a window, so then the whole address bar just seems to be in a different world. I just looked up and I legitimately couldn’t find it for half a second… thank goodness I only use firefox to access my hotmail account.
